Fetta’s Greek Taverna

Fetta's Greek Taverna

The Culinary Symphony of the Mediterranean

From the shores of the Aegean to the bustling streets of Cairns, Fetta’s brings you dishes that echo the sounds of Greek festivities and the aroma of their home kitchens. Must-tries? Lamb Souvlaki, Mixed Grill Special, and the beautifully layered Vegetarian Moussaka. Each bite tells a tale – from the zest of the Mediterranean to the passion of the chefs behind them.

The Legend Behind the Magic

A feast is never just about food in Greece – it’s a celebration! This spirit is very much alive at Fetta’s, where belly dancing and plate smashing take center stage during weekends. It’s as if the islands of Santorini and Mykonos decided to vacation in Cairns. Feel the rhythm, embrace the joy, and let loose!

When you step into Fetta’s, it’s not just about diving into a dish; it’s about diving into a story. And George, the owner, is your charismatic storyteller. Whether he’s sharing tales of old or ensuring young guests are thoroughly entertained, George is the heart and soul of this Greek haven.

Take a Coffee & Baklava Break

Bring the young ones along! The ambiance is both fun and welcoming for children. Fetta’s isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a place where families create memories.

No Greek journey is complete without the signature combination of strong coffee and the sweet layers of Baklava. It’s a combination that sums up the Fetta’s experience – robust, sweet, and absolutely unforgettable.

If the vibrant streets of Cairns are a tropical melody, then Fetta’s Greek Taverna is the soulful Greek interlude you never knew you needed. Dive into an authentic Mediterranean journey without needing a passport. Opá!

This restaurant was very nice. It has a lot of seating which isn't evident when you look in from the street. There are 4 zones I could see. There's the sidewalk tables, a seating zone when you enter from the street, a zone further back and behind that (behind some glass windows) there's another zone that's harder to see. The service we received was fast & efficient. Orders were taken promptly, food brought out in quick time and our empty plates were cleared away fast, too. I thought the prices were very good. I / we were there for lunch and there's a range of inexpensive items costing $10 or less and even the higher priced dishes were in the range of $17-20. All the food we ordered was good. There's nothing to complain about at Fetta's. I notice some bad reviews & the owner seems to respond to them. I'm pretty sure he was there when we visited & he was enjoying socialising with some of the guests. Nothing wrong with that. He seems to be proud of his restaurant, its food & service. Good for him.

The best Greek restaurant I have been too by far. The fried calamari was too die for. And the fish was seasoned to perfection. My friend and I had the set menu which highly recommend. The atmosphere of the restaurant was truly special. I witness people dancing in the middle of the restaurant together, throwing plates to the ground in celebration and also saw a belly dancer. Will def be back.
